A Continuous Hinge

Suitable for new construction and replacement work, continuous hinges consist of two full-height, geared leafs. Each leaf rotates on Teflon bearings, ensuring smooth operation. A full-length channel cap holds leafs and bearings together, and provides a refined look. A  continuous hinge distributes the door's weight along the frame's entire length, so heavy vertical loads are supported easily . Door sag, warpage and binding, common problems in butt hinge installations, are eliminated. A continuous hinge also alleviates the need for costly modifications to the door or frame.
